Real Human Support

A US-based team handles every case personally.

Most of our customers come to us after trying it themselves.

Requesting a DD214 takes time, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of what the National Archives needs. Small mistakes on the form can mean weeks of additional delay. We do this every day, so we know exactly how to prepare and submit a clean request the first time.

Stuck on the paperwork

Tried eVetRecs or the SF-180 and hit a wall β€” confusion, a rejection, or just lost momentum.

Out of time

Would rather pay someone who does this every day than spend a month learning a federal form.

Next-of-kin

Spouses and adult children of deceased veterans handling funeral, estate, or VA matters.

Older records

Vietnam, Korea, and WWII-era veterans whose records may be in the 1973 NPRC fire window.

How it works

Four steps, a few minutes of your time.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your service

Fill out a short intake form with the basics: name, branch, approximate service dates, and what you need the DD214 for.

  2. 2

    Review and sign

We'll prepare the SF-180 and send it to you for e-signature β€” by email or right here on the site, depending on what we offer that day. Takes about a minute either way.

  3. 3

    We submit and follow up

We send the request to the National Archives the same business day. Every two weeks, we email you a status update β€” even if there's no news yet.

  4. 4

    Secure delivery

When your DD214 arrives, we deliver it through an encrypted link, not a regular email attachment. Your SSN deserves that.

Pricing

Frequently asked

Questions we hear most.

Isn't this free from the government?
Yes. DD214s are free from the National Archives via eVetRecs or the SF-180 form. We're a paid service that does the work for you. If you'd rather handle it yourself, our free guide walks you through it. Most of our customers tried that route first and decided their time was worth more than the fee.
How long will it take?
Realistically, 8–12 weeks from when you sign the SF-180 to when you receive your DD214. Sometimes faster, sometimes longer β€” NPRC sets the pace on processing. We submit your request within one business day of receiving your signed form, then track it through to delivery and send you a status update every two weeks.
What if you can't find my records?
If you're on our Guaranteed plan and we can't retrieve your DD214 within 120 days, you get a full refund. On the Standard plan, we'll keep working the case but the fee is non-refundable. Records destroyed in the 1973 NPRC fire require a special reconstruction process β€” please mention this when you order.
Is my Social Security Number safe?
Yes. We collect only what NPRC requires, store it encrypted, and deliver your DD214 through an encrypted portal β€” never as a plain email attachment. We never share your information with third parties.
I'm next-of-kin to a deceased veteran. Can I request a DD214?
Yes. As a spouse, parent, child, or sibling of a deceased veteran, you can request the DD214 with proof of relationship and the veteran's death certificate. We'll guide you through what NPRC needs.
What if my records were destroyed in the 1973 fire?
The 1973 NPRC fire damaged or destroyed millions of records β€” mostly Army (1912–1959) and Air Force (1947–1963, names Hubbard–Z). These cases require a reconstruction process using alternate documents. We handle this β€” it just takes longer (6+ months) and we'll set that expectation clearly upfront.
Are you affiliated with the government?
No. Veteran DD214 is a private company. We are not affiliated with the National Archives, NPRC, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or any government agency. DD214 records are available free from the National Archives.
